*New Sinful Colors Line* Sinful Shine - My Kryptonite, Most Sinful, and Royal Flush swatches+review

Hey Peeps! I am super stoked to announce that I have finally ended my painfully long no-buy! I took advantage of Zoya's Earth Day promo among other stuff. Apparently I am not the only person who has developed a sudden strange addiction to bright yellow polish. I was warned before I hit the confirmation button that due to high demand Kerry is on back order which will delay my shipment. Agh, I'm not a patient person AT ALL but...have you seen Kerry yet? And, my brother's name is Kerry so you know I had to order it even though I'm stuck waiting. I can't get enough bright yellow right now either, not sure why. Anywhooser, while I'm waiting on my Zoyas, and lots of other awesome pretties to find their way home I decided to check my local Walgreens. I squealed like a pig when I walked in and saw that awesome Sinful Shine display! It had not even been touched yet! I think I heard angels singing and saw the display light up. I grabbed one to start with, I also grabbed one of the Sinful Colors Diamonds Collection. Once I got the first coat of SS on my thumbnail I KNEW I had to go grab a couple more for this review. Yep, that's totally why I did it, or that's what hubub thinks anyway :) Awesome thing is, at $2.99 a pop you can afford to splurge. I shall keep going back and grabbing more periodically for sure. The first one I grabbed was My Kryptonite. It looks more teal than green to me, a deep, rich teal. I love it, check it out...
I used one coat of SS My Kryptonite over Seche Clear base coat. I didn't use a top coat, and you can see why. Super shiny, and I am very impressed that it came out opaque after the first coat. I used a decent coat of course, but I didn't overload it. The formula of Sinful Shine seems to be thinner than original Sinful Colors, but it was super easy to work with. Dry time seemed good too. Obviously removal was super easy, thanks to the one coat versus my normal 3-4 coats of most original Sinful Colors. I very happy about that. So hows about a lil' looky-loo at Most Sinful...
Awesome sauce, isn't it? I really dig it, and I am so going to try this with a holo top coat. This one was just a tad streaky after the first coat, so I used two. Again, no top coat. The formula of Most Sinful is the same as My Kryptonite, which is a good thing. No issues in application or removal, it seems a bit on the thin side but easy to work with. Actually the formula reminds me of Sation Nail Lacquer, it's just a couple bucks cheaper. Even sweeter! Now let's have a peek at Royal Flush, my third and final SS I'm showing you today...
Gorgeous isn't it? I'm gonna call it a deep, rich magenta creme. I know I've already used that description in this review, but it truly is the best way to describe this stuff. I love it. This swatch is another one-coater over Seche Clear, and no top coat. Same formula as the other two. The bottle recommends using 2 coats, so keep in mind I used one thicker-than-usual coat because I'm an impatient swatcher and it's taken me 2 days to figure out why my camera wasn't picking up the colors correctly. No joke, I've probably taken 100 photos or more. Turns out my camera is smarter than I am, and yes I had screwed some s#!t up I didn't even know I could screw up. That's why this post is coming at ya a couple days late. Sorry 'bout that but I didn't want to post photos that weren't color-accurate, that would've been pointless.

So, my opinion of Sinful Shine nail polish...I'm really happy with the three I've tried so far and I'm stupid excited to get more, in my opinion they are well worth the extra buck. And, it wont kill me to grab 2-4 a week till I've collected all 31 shades for 3 bucks a piece. The Sinful Shine line is supposed to be exclusive to Walgreens. I'm hoping it will be a permanent line, these things really do rock my socks. So...What's your opinion of the new Sinful Shine pretties? Have you got your paws on any yet? If so, which ones did you get? Let me know in the comments, or don't- it's all up to you. Well, that's pretty much it for now peeps. Until next time...

Nail Art Contest Submission - Check out my berry cute mani!

Hey hey Peeps! How goes it? I'm doing great, thanks for asking! I decided to enter another nail art contest. You know I suck at nail art but this time I actually managed to make something that wasn't just completely stupid looking! Yay! I shall give you all the details at the conclusion of my post so you can enter too. You don't have to be a pro, just have fun! Here's what I created for the competition...

I wont even try to lie to ya, I love this! Most likely the cutest nail art I've ever created. Don't laugh, it's not funny. I told ya I wasn't a pro! Anywhooser, the strawberry mani idea came after 2 failed attempts at a leopard print mani. Check it out, and feel free to laugh at this one...
I think it looks more like a giraffe than a leopard, wtf? Hmmm, maybe my blobs are too big? Agh, I'll get better with practice. I hope. It still ain't too bad for my first attempt, I guess? Oh well, back to the strawberry mani. For no other reason than the fact I want to, hows about I flash another berry shot...
I used China Glaze Red Satin as the base, Sinful Colors Exotic green for the tops, and gold Salon Perfect nail art paint for the seeds. Why gold? Because I discovered I need to buy a new bottle of black polish, this one's almost empty and it's SUPER gooey. I had little black threads all over my fingers when I attempted the leopard print so I decided to NOT ruin my strawberry mani. I think I made a good choice, the gold seeds are cuter, AND since it was nail art paint it came with a super skinny brush. I should seriously invest in some nail art tools if I'm ever going to get any good at this crap. Anywho, not bad for being artistically challenged. The hardest part about nail art for me is trying to come up with something cute AND unique. And the fact that I'm a ghetto nail artist if there ever was one doesn't help. One of my most used tools in my artsy-fartsy nail fail creations is a damn toothpick. I did NOT use a toothpick for the strawberry mani however. LMAO, I actually just wiped off the gold art brush & used it to draw the green tops after I finished dabbing on my gold strawberry seeds :) So, it's doubtful I'll ever be featured in NailedIt Magazine or anything like that, but I did manage to create some nail art that wasn't totally retarded.

I recommend you enter Lynda's nail art competition btw. Like I said before, you don't have to be a pro- just have some fun! Things That Make Ya Go AWWW! - Skating In The Snow by Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer - A Rarity Worth Reading About!

What's this? Another swatch post, in the same week? Sure is! I'm too excited to wait to show you Skating In The Snow by Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer. I won the Reader of the Month giveaway from Wishes Of A Blue Eyed Girl. I was given the option to choose between several different awesome prizes, but you know how obsessed I've become with Indies so for me the choice was obvious...I had to have a Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer to add to my collection! I decided not to choose which hand-made pretty to try, rather just have her surprise me. I'm happy I did too. Skating In The Snow is so pretty, I literally said AWWW! when I unwrapped it. It's so fuzzy and cute. It's versatile too, it can easily be worn any season. Look how cute the bottle is?!
You avid PDALT stalkers know that I totally LOVE crelly polishes. They're one of my favorites things, not just limited to polish, but one of my favorite things EVER. Skating In The Snow is a white crelly base, with various sized and shaped pastel and iridescent glitters that shift from green to blue to yellow to pink. There's also hot pink and teal circles! I love circle glitters too :) Here's a macro...
The only thing that irritates me is I can't seem to pick up the pastel greens, but at least you can see there's lots of various sized iridescent pretties mixed into the base as well. Now I think it's time to see what it looks like on the nails. Check it out...
See?! It's so cute, fuzzy, and sweet looking! And I'd wear it any time of the year, even though it's named Skating In The Snow. Unfortunately I wasn't able to capture the full beauty of it but at least lemme flash you a closeup to show detail...

So there you have Skating In The Snow by Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer. If you're wondering where you can purchase some BEGL pretties for yourself, unfortunately she doesn't sell her lacquers. Rather, whips up pretties for friends, family, and giveaways. Yep, the only way to obtain a Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer for the rest of us is to win some! Lucky for us it's easy. All you have to do to have a chance at winning some of her pretties is follow her blog and Facebook page, and interact! Once a month a random winner is chosen. So... you should totally click here to be directed to Wishes Of A Blue Eyed Girl's blog. You can also like her page on Facebook by clicking here. I really dig the fact that there isn't many people in the world that own Skating In The Snow, makes me feel special :)

On to the questionnaire...what do ya think of Skating In The Snow? Have you had the pleasure of owning a Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer? Notice the blog changes? I'm in the process of giving my blog a much needed facelift. Whatcha think so far? Lemme know what you've got rolling around in your head! That's it for now Peeps. Until next time...

New-To-Me Indie : Above The Curve - Guardian Angel

Hey  Peeps! I'm excited to show you Guardian Angel from the beloved Above The Curve Nail Polish. I won it from one of their Flash Friday giveaways =D It's my first time trying their stuff so I'm pretty stoked about it, I love trying new pretties! Speaking of pretties- ATC is pretty dang popular in the polish world, they were just recently selected as one of the 'Best Indie Nail Polish Brands' by Paint Crush Magazine. I've never read a bad review about their creations either, raves all the way. For those, if any, are unfamiliar- Above The Curve is an indie that cares. $1 from each bottle of their polish sold is donated to Shriner's Hospitals For Children, they raise awareness for Scoliosis too! They've also been doing a wonderful job raising funds for Autism Awareness lately. The weekly giveaways on Facebook help raise money for Shriner's and other charities, and they're becoming more popular by the week. I encourage you to like them on Facebook, and remember to stop in on Friday evenings for some flash giveaways. Besides the charity work, all their polish is 3-free and cruelty free. Flippin' awesome stuff yo! Check it out...
I love linear holos. I don't own many, and this is my first ATC ever. So glad I got to give 'em a try! Their formula is so awesome. That's just 2 coats of Guardian Angel, no top coat. I'm in love! The color is so intriguing, they shift from pink to gold to purple, and the linear holo totally puts it over the top..How's about a shot under artificial light?
Stunning, isn't it?! I can't resist the urge to flash you a closeup, I love this stuff!
I'm not sure what I love the most about it - the awesome formula or the gorgeous color loaded with holo. It's hard not to keep staring at it. I'm almost hypnotized. I'm all "Ooooh shiny!" I got adventurous and decided to try Revlon's Hearts of Gold over Guardian Angel. Here's a shot in natural light, indoors...
Please excuse the photo quality- I took this with my phone. It caught the purple shimmer though. This duo looked awesome together regardless of the crappy photo. The gold glitters go perfect with the gold shift in Guardian Angel and the holographic hearts are adorable.

So, my thoughts on Above The Curve...I'm in love with Guardian Angel, and I can't wait for this awful no-buy to be over so I can purchase some of their pretties. Their new Jolly Rancher inspired collection is to die for from the photos I've seen. You can check out their shop on Big Cartel here. Also find Above The Curve on Etsy here. Don't forget to like them on Facebook for shop news and updates, check in on Fridays for chances at winning some mini pretties too! Click here to go to their page.

Now comes the interrogation part...What are your thoughts on ATC? Own any of their pretties, and if so how many? Which ones are they? I'd love to hear what your ATC lemmings are too, lemme know in the comments! Oh, and speaking (or typing) of comments I noticed some jackass had spammed me with links to their blog that's totally unrelated to anything I'm interested in. I think that's rude, so I've changed settings. Unfortunately you'll have to enter a captcha, but that's no biggy. I don't mind doing it when I comment on other blogs. Advice on anything else I can do to ensure my blog isn't raped again would be greatly appreciated! Remember, I'm kind of a dumbass when it comes to blogging. I just started in December and I feel like Joe Dirt working at the oil rig...I'm new, I'm new, I don't know what to do! So, I think that about wraps it up for this blogging session peeps. Thanks for reading, y'all come back now, ya hear?

Got Time for a Quickie? This one's special! Hazzee Dazzee - A Tribute Franken

Hey peeps! Got time for a quickie? I've only got one polish featured in this post. Since my no-buy I've been experimenting with frankens to keep me occupied. I usually spend all of my money, plus quite a bit of the hubub's money on polish and makeup. Sorry for the TMI, and don't freak out on me I haven't had a drop in over a year. Anyhooser, the constant back and fourth trips we've been making to Texas have really cut in to our budget lately. So, all that mess being said- I'm super lucky to have a friend like Sara from Pinkey Nails. She not only sends me awesome polish, she totally saved my ass by sending me some glitter! I'm not going through all this junk again, so if you didn't read my last post I'll just tell ya it's been pretty sad for me the past few months because my dad died. I plan to have a photo tattoo as a tribute to him. Here's the photo I want to use...
I know some awesome tattoo artists and I'm fairly certain as to who I want inking me, well I've got it narrowed down to 3. Since this is special and GOOD realism artists are hard to find I'm not going to trust that job to just anyone, so I may shop around a bit more before I decide. I have a general idea of how I want this to look, the right artist just needs to tweek my idears for me so it'll be a while before they materialize. In the meantime, a tribute franken seemed like a good idea. I actually got the idea from one of my favorite polish makers ever. Thank you Samantha from AGO  and Lacey from MBHM, I totally got the idea from you chicks and that sweet Mt Dew tribute polish! Not even sayin' my stuff compares to AGO, but it was fun to play around with. Check out my madness...
I named it Hazzee Dazzee! It's not for everybody, like I said  my dad was the inspiration behind it. I intended for it to be masculine-looking, for lack of a better term. I mixed up a grey crelly base and added a crap load of holo and slightly less slate colored micro glitter. Then I threw in some big ol' black matte squares, just a few but I really like 'em so I could not resist putting a square on each nail. I mixed in a healthy dose of smaller blue matte squares and some white matte diamonds too. That there swatch is 3 coats Hazzee Dazzee. Since the black squares are so big I used 2 good coats of OTD for a smooth finish. Just cause I can't stand it if my nails aren't perfectly smooth to the touch. I'm a picker, as gross as that sounds. If there's even the slightest flat spot or bit of glitter sticking up I pick at it obsessively like a fiend. For a better idea of how this was inspired, here it is...
He had to take a break to go fishing with my brother last summer :) Those fish were heavy, he's having hell holding them lmao! So now that you've seen what my dad looked like the last time I saw him do you see why I chose the look and colors I did for Hazzee Dazzee? And speaking of it,  how's about a shot in natural light? Feast your eyeballs on it yo...
I used the dab method on the glitters and I just now noticed I did not put a white diamond on each finger, that irritates me. Grrr OCD. Anywho, I managed to catch the best macro shot of my life so you know I must rape your eyes with it. Looky looky...
Now I'm gonna show you a slightly blurred shot that picks up the holo a bit better. This polish is actually pretty in person. It's brighter and more sparkly than my photos suggest. Then again, I made it so maybe I'm biased.
So that's it yo...my tribute polish to my dad, David Ray. Here's some useless info for your pockeeto, totally unrelated to polish...My dad named me Tami Rae- Tami from some old country song. Notice somebody spelled my name wrong in that old photo lol. He opted to drop the m and y and spell it with an i just to ensure I could never buy customized ANYTHING as a kid (ok, that's probably not why). Remember those bicycle license plates and beaded bracelets they had at Walmart when we were kids? Oh, and the customize pencils...That used to make me so sad. But on with my rambling- being the first born he wanted me named after him. Well obviously he couldn't name me David, so he chose Rae for my middle name. AGH, I can still hear him beller out "Tami Rae!" that's when I knew my ass was grass :) I can appreciate those kind of memories now that I'm grown. So lemme bounce back to polish land. What do ya think of Hazzee Dazzee? Think it's appropriate for a tribute polish? Any suggestions? I'm all about some feedback from fellow fiends! Till next time peeps...

Pinkey Nails Lenore and Poppy - Re-Swatched + A Little Rant Post

Hello! Long time no post huh? Well, truth of the matter is I've been too poor lately to buy any awesome new polish. I have a LOT of untrieds, but I was really starting to feel like I might be loosing my mind by the beginning of last week. I wasn't planning on writing up a sob story but it's my blog, this shit really bothers me, so please forgive me for raping your eyes with my BS. Maybe I'll feel a little better if I open up about it a little bit, so feel free to skip down to the review- it's gonna get ugly...My dad died in December. Saddest part is, nobody KNEW he was dead for approximately 20 days. He died all alone, and laid there rotting and that weighs very heavy on my conscience (Yep I have one of those, don't tell anybody!) My little brother is the one that went to his house and found him. The worst part of all is - I had not been on speaking terms with dad since a drunken falling out on March 5, 2012. I'm not going to go into details but it was completely f***ing stupid and had I known that would be the last time I would ever see or speak to my dad I would have done things much, much different. One thing dad did say to me and my brother on more than one occasion is that he wanted us to cremate him and spread his ashes at Lake Arbuckle when his time did come. He also said not to worry, he'd be around for a long time. Less than a year after the last time he told us that he was gone. His ashes were spread a few weeks ago before I even made it out of the f***ing city so I'm pretty guilty about that too, although it was completely out of my control he did want me to be part of that but I let him down yet again. Anywho, I thought it might help to vent, but I think it's just making my blood-pressure go up. This whole situation has wounded me much more than I like to let on, and I'm still battling intense feelings that I am totally unaccustomed to. My dad didn't raise me to be a Sappy Sally. I apologize for unloading on you peeps like this, but I wanted to give you some explanation as to why I skitzed out last week. No worries though, although my life will never be the same I'm ok, or I will be. I refuse to let myself become consumed, although I did come dangerously close. So Let's move on with this indie review shall we?

Pinkey Nails is owned by my friend Sara, and I was honored when she asked me to review 2 of her polishes. When I received the minis I had just gave in to my OCD tendencies and butchered all my nubby nubs down to grotesque little stumps. I totally was not feeling into swatching anything with my nails in that condition. So, I feel I owe it to you guys and Sara to reswatch these pretties! First one is Lenore. Check it out yo...
Now, like I said before Sara is a friend of mine. She sent Lenore for me to try and provide you with an honest review, so I'm totally doing that! The base of Lenore is stunning. It's impossible for me to tell you whether it's more blue or green, kinda in between I think. There's also the slightest pink shimmer and a healthy mix of holo that really makes this polish interesting. The swatch above shows what 3 coats of Lenore looks like over Sinful Colors Cinderella. Obviously it's very sheer - which is a good thing. Makes it versatile, and I like versatile polish. At risk of sounding like a jackass I will admit after some experimenting, I prefer Lenore much more without the white hexes, black diamonds, and red hearts. Allow me to demonstrate...
That there be 2 coats Lenore over Wet n Wild Teal of Fortune - with camera flash. Flippin awesome yo! When I layered these it brought out a duo chrome holo look that I totally dig. How 'bout I flash a swatch without the camera flash?
I wasn't able to capture the pink and blue shimmer, so just trust me on the duo chrome thing. See the holo? Eeek! I managed to catch a bit of holo in a photo, the world must be coming to an end! Just because I love it, here's a closeup for your face...

I must say - Lenore layered over Teal of Fortune without the glitter is gorgeous! I really wish I knew how to catch the duo chrome in my photos. I have not done Lenore justice on this one. I really don't want to take it off, I have so much swatching I need to do though. Too much polish, not enough fingers. First world problems. Anywho, before I swatched this prettiness I swatched Pinkey Nails Poppy. Looky looky...
One word...Damn! That's 3 coats of Poppy over Sinful Colors Cotton Candy. I'm in love with this combo too. Poppy is a very sheer white-pink shimmer with holo and black matte diamonds mixed in with it. Now that I think of it, I really wish I had also swatched Poppy over Cinderella. I bet it's flippin' gorgeous too. Unfortunately I just now thought of it, it's late, and I'm tired. Forgive me. How 'bout a closeup as a feeble attempt to make up for my laziness?
So rocker chick, right? I think it's adorable! I am ashamed of myself for not experimenting with Lenore and Poppy a little more before publishing my first review. If you're wondering - the formula for both polishes is awesome. Very easy to work with, and dry time seems good to me. With or without undies, with or without the glitters you can create different looks which is something I appreciate. Final verdict on Pinkey Nails by Sara...After some experimenting I've fallen in love with Lenore and I look forward to trying it out with other colors. Poppy, now that one was already loved by me but even more so now that I've got the inspiration to try it out different ways. Ooooh, I am so gonna try it out with more of SC Sugar Rush collection shades - with and without the black diamonds! Anywho, be sure to like Pinkey Nails on Facebook by clicking here to stay up-to-date with shop news yo. Click here to be directed to Pinkey Nails' Etsy shop too. Btw, a little bird told me there's more Pinkey Nails creations in the works - coming soon!

Now surely you didn't think I'd release your eyes before forcing you to read a bit more...Whatcha think of my NEW Pinkey Nails swatches? Do you own any Pinkey Nails polishes yet? Anything in the shop you lust over? Lemme know in the comments yo. Y'all know I like comments, makes me feel like I'm not a looser blogger. Don't laugh - it's true! Until next time peeps...
